Money then — A gold bar feeds a Chinese banknote, a silver coin and a Bank of England one pound note. The dog beneath is heavily muscled. “We’re sovereign nations, of course you can exchange your bills for gold.”
Money under Bretton Woods — The same gold bar now feeds only a five dollar bill, which feeds a one pound note. The dog has slumped. “Mr. President can we plz have some golds back sir?”
Money now — No gold at all. A hundred dollar bill and a money printer at the top, a Saudi riyal below, then three more printers. “haha money printer go brrrr.”
